In this quick guide we'll detail the steps required in order for a client to reset their SolusVM password via the control panel. Now we know that this isn't the most advanced nor technical process there is, but the SolusVM documentation can be a little thin in places for end users, so every little bit of information helps, especially for users not used to the SolusVM interface :)
It should be noted that some hosting providers use their own custom themes for the SolusVM client section, so it is possible that the layout and menu options may be vastly different to the procedure and images in this article. However, most providers tend to make use of the standard SolusVM theme and even if they do use their own client area theme, it should still have the same functionality of the default theme provided by SolusVM.

This is the main dashboard, where you can see a list of VPS assigned to your hosting account and various details about each of the VPS, including whether the VPS is online, virtualisation type, hostname, IP address, operating system, allocated RAM / disk resources and how much bandwidth each VPS has used this month.
To change your SolusVM password, you should click the My Account link in the top menu. At the bottom of the next screen will be a section entitled Change Account Password, an example can be seen in the image below:

To change your SolusVM login password, you must complete all three fields. The first field is Current Password, where you must enter your current login password for security purposes. The next two fields are New Password and Repeat New Password, which are where you should enter the new password for your SolusVM login twice in order to ensure you have not made a mistake.
After completing the fields to your satisfaction, you just need to click the Update Password button to activate the password change.
It should be as simple as that! You have now updated your SolusVM password and are ready to use it for your next login.
